What is a model comp card — and what should be on it?

A comp card is your professional “here I am” in one glance: a few strong photos, useful measurements and contact details. It is not the place for your life story, your horoscope or twelve nearly identical selfies.

What to include

  • Your name or professional model name.
  • A strong main image plus a small selection that shows useful range.
  • Current height and the measurements relevant to your market.
  • Hair and eye color when useful.
  • Agency / representation contact details, or your appropriate professional contact if independent.

Keep it simple

  • Use current photos that genuinely look like you.
  • Prioritize readability over decorative design.
  • Do not overload the card with biography or dozens of images.
  • Keep measurements consistent with the data in your applications.
  • Export in a format the recipient can open easily.

Comp card vs digitals vs portfolio

  • Digitals show your current natural appearance with minimal styling.
  • A comp card summarizes your professional profile in a compact piece.
  • A portfolio or book shows a broader body of work and develops over time.
  • For a first agency submission, follow the agency’s exact request — it may want digitals before a comp card.

Keep the card compact: a few current photos, accurate measurements and professional contact details. Export or share it in a format the recipient can open easily.
