Digital creator / UGC work
UGC creator and influencer are not synonyms. A creator can be hired to make a video that the brand publishes on its own channels, without bringing a large personal audience. An influencer also sells access to a community. Some jobs combine both; they are still different deliverables.
Talking to camera, demonstrating an app, trying a product, recording several hooks, delivering clean vertical clips or sending raw footage can be the job. The client may publish that material on its own account or use it in paid media.
The Directory currently links 96 published organisations to Digital Creators across 50 countries and 60 cities; 75 of those profiles include a direct application link.
Ask who is publishing what. 'Make a video for the brand' and 'post this video to your followers' do not carry the same value, usage rights or role.
Examples
For UGC, a few short examples can show voice, framing, light, delivery and whether you can explain a product clearly. You can make spec examples without pretending a brand hired you; label them honestly.
A large audience becomes relevant when the job includes distribution from your account. A small following does not prove you are a poor creator, and a huge following does not prove you can deliver usable client footage.
Start with Digital Creators for organisations that say they work with creators. If the job genuinely involves your own audience, inspect Influencers as well. Then open the record: a tag helps you filter; it does not tell you the contract.
A 2026 European skincare casting on Casting Networks says it plainly: “this is not an influencer role.” The brief wants creators who can make relatable short-form content, follow creative direction and tell a product story. The brand is buying the ability to make the content, not automatically your audience.
